ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS



 

Admission of all the international students will be done through the University’s Office of the International Affairs. The admission of international students is carried out in following different stages.

International students should follow the following steps for admission in different programs of the University:

i. Application Procedure

Apply online and channelize the printed copy of the application along with requisite documents

a. Routed through their respective Embassy / High Commission / Consulate in India (for the purpose of verification of their educational qualification viz. marksheet, degree…) to reach the Office of the International Affairs , Delhi Technological University, Delhi, INDIA. (For those International students who are already studying in India or having an Indian degree)

b. Routed through Indian Embassy/ High Commission in their respective countries (for the purpose of verification of their educational qualification viz. marksheet, degree…), to reach the Office of the International Affairs , Delhi Technological University, Delhi, INDIA. (For those International students who wish to apply from their own country outside India )

ii. The Office of the International Affairs, Delhi Technological University will get the applications scrutinized by the Departmental co-ordinator(s) that the applicant wants to join (Application must have three options for their choice of programs by each candidate.

iii. The Office of the Dean, International Affairs, DTU will compile the information on the basis of scrutiny and send the list for the approval of Vice-Chancellor DTU, and upon getting the same, issue a provisional admission letter to the applicant.

iv. The provisional admission letter covering all the important information of the student like Name of the student, Gender, Date of Birth, Passport No., Name of the program, etc. for meeting VISA requirements, will be sent to the Indian Embassy addressed to the First Secretary (in charge of Science, Technology & Education). A copy shall also be sent to the prospective student.

v. The First Secretary will officially inform the applicant to take admission in DTU in their choice of program.

vi. The applicant will pursue the visa formalities from the country of domicile (student visa for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA courses and Research visa for Ph.D. course).

vii. After getting the Student/Research VISA, the student shall be required to pay the University Fee (see Fee Structure)

viii. Admission of international students will be confirmed only after verification of original certificates, medical fitness test and payment of required fees.

ix. Within two weeks of arrival in India, applicants must register their names with the police in the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) of the local Police.

Notes: No International student shall be admitted to Delhi Technological University without a Research / Student’s Visa. Such Student’s Visa will be extended by the Ministry of Home Affairs after ascertaining that student pursuing his/her studies, is receiving remittance through proper banking channels. The admission of International Students to Engineering programs is done by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. No other endorsement in lieu of Research/ Student’s VISA is acceptable.
